Optimus prime/Convoy MP01

This is the first of the many masterpiece figures.
First released by Takara, this G1 accurate figure is the king of all Optimus prime figures baring the original 1984 figure.

Mp01 is equipped with wrist communicators on both arms displaying different G1 cartoon characters, moving face plate to simulate speech, an opening chest displaying a removable matrix of leadership with a very bright led behind with switch on his left shoulder, rubber tires with suspension and a wide variety of accessories.

His iconic ion blaster, his energon axe from the Battle with Megatron in the episode "More than meets the eye part II" and megatron in gun mode for optimus to wield.

He has a wide degree of articulation in his wrists, fingers, elbows shoulders, waist, knees, hips, toes and his head is on a ball joint.

The figure also has chromed grill, smoke stacks and gas tanks.

The only problem I have found is he has a problem holding his ion blaster, it's more balance than grip.

But with the amount of high points to this figure a small problem like that is nothing.

The boxes of all Takara masterpiece figures are the figure within with a solid black background.
